Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY!

If you are from the Midwest you remember this pitch from the touring Monster Truck shows that would rip through here with ear deafening fury. They were the BEST! Oh Grave Digger, you've never failed us...

Anywho, we have a bridal show (!) this Sunday and we decided to theme it "Dreamsicle". Hues include tangerine, peach, rust, dusty rose, fuchsia and cream. Sweet!

We'll post some pics on Saturday in between yoga and martinis.

Proof that kids throw better parties

I got this from here. What an awesome kid! She said "Tomorrow is her twelfth birthday, and this is how she wanted to celebrate it with her friends. The theme was just that - old men. It was wild".

I kind of got tired doing the inspiration boards. Well, not tired, but annoyed at the logging back and forth to links and placing and referencing, linking and ahh! I'll leave it for other awesome people to do (greylikesweddings.com, ahem) but I've just taken up knitting and figured my fingers are better at that then alt+tab.   For Marci and Kate:

Dia Tres- More Stripes, Por Favor

Personal favorite: anything striped. I went through this phase in high school where I had to wear something striped everyday; socks, shirt, skirt- whatever. Thinking back it was kinda awful but maybe I was doing it wrong. Wait- I WAS doing it wrong! Look at how awesome it can look for a wedding/dinner/party.  Ugh, why didn't Danielle tell me?

Day Two

Like we mentioned earlier, it really seems like violets, purples, lavenders and plums are going to be super in this year! Our wedding this weekend has a rockin all purple and black theme and another in February has lilac and silver. Sweet!  For silver themed, always remember dusty miller (cool silvery foliage) and brunia (cute silver pods).  Anyway, here are a few more for the color purple, without getting all Alice Walker about it:

On the Color Wheel

A very good friend just got engaged over the weekend (yay!) and they got us to thinking about colors! Thinking back about our faves, we decided to come up with a new one for the next few days:
