Eco/Eco Bouquets

Eco- Eco- ECHO? Yes my dears, ECOlogical and ECOnomical.
We had these pretties for a bridal show last week and being as how the world is still mending itself after falling apart last year, I think the word "economical" is really important. Of course, so is green and fair trade and local and organic and ahh!, all of these new things we have to worry about. Anyway, I made these using only locally grown roses, potted alstroemeria and mums, along with pine, stems and branches Ranger and I cut from the forest that morning. You don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money to have a beautiful event. Just shop smartly. Buy locally and independently when possible (help the little guys too!) try to buy what's in season, be creative and use texture to your benefit (pine cones, shells, feathers, etc, look awesome!) and most importantly- trust that your florist is acting in your best interest. Have a budget and keep to it- you will enjoy your event more knowing you didn't have to give up your first born to pay for the thing!
